When the dark nights draw in there is not a better time for indulging in some warming spicy food, and we cannot think of anything more comforting, literally speaking, than curry. Beer is the traditional accompaniment but wine works equally well, if not better for enhancing those flavours, we start proceedings with a fruity Rose , then a Riesling for chicken, fish or veg. A Viognier pairs well if the sauce is creamy or buttery, but don’t forget the juicy flavours of a Pinotage or Merlot for those hot nose runners.
