EL NIñO DE CAMPILLO Rioja

Category:

Profile

Campillo arose from a dream of creating a winery surrounded by vineyards, thus transferring the concept of Château to the land of Rioja wine.. An architectural space that opens to the Sierra Cantabria and Laguardia. When you climb the large staircase and cross its doors you feel all that led Julio Faustino Martínez to share his two passions, wine and architecture, in Campillo.

The building of Bodegas Campillo rises majestically amidst a sea of vines. It is made of natural stone and has a portico with seven semicircular arches, wood and masonry overhangs and a large staircase made of slate comprising a perfect fusion of vineyard and architecture. Its interior combines tradition and modernity, luxury and sobriety, and harmonises the nobility of stone, steel, granite, slate and wood with a meticulous and unique aesthetic.

From the great entrance hall you can see the five levels into which the winery is divided, with a spiral staircase providing the connection to all the spaces. Its beautiful architectural forms brings together the best technical conditions for making and ageing wine.
